FERC to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Alaska LNG Project

FERC has issued a notice of intent to prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) for the proposed Alaska LNG Project export terminal near Nikiski, Alaska. FERC’s notice states that it understands “that affected stakeholders may include communities that depend on seasonal subsistence activities,” so the period for comments on the scope of the EIS will remain open until December 4, 2015.
