BG Group to Delay Proposed B.C. Prince Rupert LNG Terminal
An article in the Financial Post, citing a report in The Wall Street Journal [subscription required], states that BG Group Plc is likely to delay its proposed LNG export terminal at Prince Rupert, British Columbia (B.C.) to provide time to assess the market once U.S. LNG supplies come on-line. The article quotes BG Canada President Madeline Whitaker as stating “We’d always said (construction would begin) as early as 2016, but we now recognize it’ll likely be later, with commercial operations likely beginning early in the next decade.”
