Department of Energy Approves Texas LNG to Export Gas
The US Department of Energy granted Texas LNG approval to export to Free Trade Agreement countries. Texas LNG has approval to export the equivalent of 100 Bcf/y (approximately 2 MTA) of domestically produced LNG. The authorization is for a 25-year term to current and future Free Trade Agreement countries. Texas LNG is currently building a $1 billion terminal in South Texas at the Port of Brownsville.
