DOE Approves Advanced Energy Solutions and Argent Marine Management FTA Exports
The U.S. Department of Energy has approved Advanced Energy Solutions L.L.C.’s (AES) application to export 8 Bcf/year of LNG in ISO containers transported on ocean-going vessels to nations in Central America and the Caribbean which have a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States. AES will obtain LNG from the proposed Floridian Natural Gas Storage facility in Martin County, Fla. and will transport the LNG via truck or rail to the Port of Palm Beach where it will be loaded onto vessels for export. DOE also approved Argent Marine Management, Inc.’s (Argent) application to export 1 Bcf/year of LNG in ISO containers transported on ocean-going vessels to FTA nations. The LNG will be transported from the Pivotal LNG facility in Trussville, Ala. via truck to a port in the Southeastern United States where it will be loaded onto vessels for export.
