Venture Global LNG Receives DOE Authority to Export LNG to FTA Nations
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has granted Venture Global LNG (Venture) authority to export, on behalf of itself and as agent for others, up to 243.6 Bcf/year of domestically produced LNG to nations with a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States. The LNG would be exported from a proposed terminal on the Calcasieu Ship Channel, Cameron Parish, La. Venture’s application to export LNG to non-FTA nations remains pending before DOE.
