Comments Filed at FERC Regarding Golden Pass LNG Export Project

Comments in support of the proposed Golden Pass LNG export terminal project were filed recently at FERC by the Texas Oil Gas Association, the Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce, and several state legislators and businessmen. Alleging potential pollution from the project, Sierra Club requested that FERC prepare a complete environmental impact statement for the project rather than the less comprehensive environmental assessment (EA) FERC intends to prepare. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department identified issues FERC should address in the EA.
