Williams Pipeline Co. Tests Feasibility of Preliminary Underwater Pipeline Route
Williams Pipeline Co. has identified a preliminary underwater pipeline route as part of its Pacific Connector Pipeline project, according to The World. Williams issued a press release on Tuesday announcing the viability of the underwater pipeline based upon its preliminary evaluations; however, the company is conducting further tests to confirm the pipeline’s feasibility. The company’s decision to announce its intention to develop the underwater pipeline was, in part, influenced by the tacit support given by local oyster farmers for the proposed route. The company explored alternative pipeline routes after local residents expressed opposition to a proposed land-based pipeline that would run through residential properties.
