USCG Seeks Further Data from Broadwater LNG

In a letter to FERC yesterday, the U.S. Coast Guard reminded FERC that Broadwater still has not provided information needed for completion of its Waterways Suitability Report (WSR) and the joint USCG and FERC design and engineering review. The USCG reiterated its understanding that the necessary information, previously requested in a May 5, 2006 data request, will be incorporated into an information request that FERC will send to Broadwater Energy. The missing information includes detailed analysis of the yoke mooring system and explanation of the process used to select the appropriate design and construction standards to be applied to the project. The letter is available in the FERC e-Library in Docket No. CP06-54. Newsday reports that Broadwater senior vice president and project manager John Hritcko Jr. says it may take “another month, plus or minus,” to meet the USCG’s request. [Print edition only]
