U.S. House to Vote on Bill that Would Designate Portions of Taunton River “Wild and Scenic”

The office of U.S. Representative Barney Frank (D-Mass.) released a statement yesterday saying that the congressman’s bill designating portions of the Taunton River as “wild and scenic” (H.R. 415) is scheduled for a vote next week. According to the Fall River Herald News, a specific date for the vote has not been set. If the bill is passed, it may affect the proposed Weaver’s Cove LNG regasification terminal.
