Federal officials will host a public meeting on April 19 in Queens, N.Y., to hear testimony from local residents regarding the Safe Harbor LNG deepwater port proposed by Atlantic Sea Island Group. Newsday provides further details.
Separately, the Monmouth County League of Women Voters will host a public forum on April 21 to discuss the LNG import terminals planned for offshore New Jersey. The Asbury Park Press (N.J.) reports that four speakers, including two Rutgers University professors, an environmental activist, and an industry representative will offer their perspectives on the three LNG projects planned for offshore New Jersey.
