Trinidad and Tobago Supports Venezuela’s LNG Agreement With Jamaica

According to today’s Jamaica Gleaner, the government of Trinidad and Tobago has endorsed Venezuela’s agreement to supply Jamaica with LNG by 2009, saying that it had encouraged Jamaica to seek out the deal with Venezuela. The deal came about after Trinidad concluded that, because of supply constraints, it was unable to provide Jamaica with LNG pursuant to a memorandum of understanding.

On a related note, The Trinidad & Tobago Express reports on the Jamaican media’s reaction to the collapsed LNG deal between the Trinidadian government and Jamaica.
