World Gas Intelligence reports that multiple proposals for LNG projects in Canada have not progressed, but that three LNG projects are moving forward and could add as much as 2.5 Bcf/d of gas to Canadian supplies. Canaport, near St. John, New Brunswick, is the nearest to completion, with construction reported to be ahead of schedule and on budget. The only other proposal to have received all necessary regulatory approvals is Kitimat LNG, to be located on the Pacific Coast of British Columbia; Kitmat LNG is still looking for supply. TransCanada and Petro-Canada, the sponsors of Gros Cacouna in Quebec, expect that their terminal will also receive final approval soon. [Subscription required]
