T&T Contracts for LNG Destined for Everett Terminal May Expire Next Spring
Two gas supply contracts between suppliers Gas Natural and Gas de Euskadi and Everett LNG terminal owner GDF Suez are set to expire next spring, which would end one of the two long-term LNG flows into the United States. World Gas Intelligence [subscription required] reports that a source close to Gas Natural said that due to the relatively low price of natural gas in the United States, Gas Natural is unlikely to renew the long-term contract. However, a spokesperson for GDF Suez noted that the company has access to a number of other supply sources around the world due to the recent merger between Gaz de France and Suez.
