Some LNG Opponents Skeptical of Coos Bay Container Port Proposal

The Mail Tribune (Ore.) reports that some residents believe that a new plan to dredge a 51-ft deep channel in order to build a container port in Coos Bay is in reality designed to assist an LNG regasification terminal project in the area. State and local officials deny the connection, saying that the current 37-ft deep shipping channel is already deep enough to accommodate LNG vessels.
