Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council: Limits on LNG Exports Could Hurt Small Businesses
The chief economist for the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council), Raymond J. Keating, voiced “grave concerns” today over efforts to restrict U.S. energy exports. Keating called the effort to limit LNG exports “an effort to limit opportunity for American small businesses and entrepreneurs.” Keating stated that the energy sector is populated overwhelmingly by small and mid-size businesses, with 91% of oil and gas extraction companies having fewer than 20 employees, and 98.6% having less than 500 workers.
