Sempra Energy is seeking the permits necessary to more than double the capacity of its Costa Azul LNG facility, though no final decision on when or whether to expand the terminal has been made. A senior executive told Reuters that Chevron’s decision to forgo plans for another terminal off the coast of Baja California “adds value” to the Costa Azul project.
