Savannah Resident Suggests Southern LNG May Be Planning for Future LNG Exports
Savannah resident Kent Harrington told the Savannah Morning News that he believes that the relocation of a compressor station for the Elba Express Pipeline could signal future plans of LNG export from the Elba Island LNG terminal. A spokesperson for terminal-owner Southern LNG responded to this theory by saying that the company’s customers are interested in better serving natural gas markets in Georgia and Florida, so the compressor station had to be relocated.
