Rhode Island Town Adopts Three-Part Plan to Address Weaver’s Cove LNG Project
The Jamestown Press reports that the Jamestown, R.I., Town Council recently adopted a three-part plan to address the proposed Weaver’s Cove LNG import project. The plan proposes forming a five-member LNG Threat Committee, hosting a “congress of town councils” for affected communities to ratify a joint resolution opposing the Weaver’s Cove LNG proposal, and inviting the LNG Working Group to present its findings on the project to the town council.
