Gov. Donald Carcieri (R-R.I.) has released a statement praising the recent U.S. Coast Guard decision to deny waterway suitability to the Weaver’s Cove LNG regasification project. Gov. Carcieri said, “While I understand that Rhode Island must find new sources of affordable energy, bringing liquefied natural gas up Narragansett Bay is not the answer.”
