Rhode Island Attorney General Urges National Grid to Drop KeySpan LNG Proposal

Patrick Lynch, Attorney General for the State of Rhode Island, released a letter this week urging National Grid, the company that recently acquired KeySpan Corp., to drop its bid to expand an existing LNG storage facility to receive liquefied gas via tanker ship as opposed to truck. The Providence Journal provides additional information.

In addition, the Jamestown Press (R.I.) reports that the company will not make a decision on the future of the KeySpan LNG proposal until company representatives have had a chance to speak with Lynch directly.
