Quebec Agricultural Land Commission Opposes Proposed Site of Rabaska LNG Terminal
Stating that it is “among the best soil for agriculture” in Canada, the Commission de protection du territoire agricole has ruled against the proposed site of the Rabaska LNG terminal. Interested parties have until October 19 to propose an alternative site for the project or to convince the Commission that the current proposed site is the only viable option. The Montreal Gazette reports that the Quebec Cabinet may overrule the Commission’s decision.
