Potential Price Volatility and Supply Disruptions Concern Gas Buyers
Platts LNG Daily reports that industry panelists at the LDC Forum Northeast in Boston acknowledged the advantages of greater LNG supply entering the U.S. Northeast market, but expressed concern about possible supply disruptions and price volatility due to further globalization of the LNG market. One power supply manager remarked, “We’d be more confident and more comfortable if we had long-term supply agreements and [we were] not bidding with the rest of the world for LNG.” [Subscription required]
