Positive Environmental Assessment Released for Cove Point LNG’s Pier Reinforcement Project

On Friday FERC released its Environmental Assessment (EA) for Dominion Cove Point LNG LP’s pier reinforcement project. FERC staff concluded that “approval of the proposed project, with appropriate mitigating measures, would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment.” The EA is available in the FERC eLibrary under Docket No. CP09-60.
Separately, FERC also released inter-agency communications between FERC and both the Department of Defense and the National Marine Fisheries Service. Both letters are available in the FERC eLibrary under Docket No. CP09-60.
