Port of Astoria Commission to Re-Appraise Site for Planned Oregon LNG Project
The Daily Astorian reports that the Port of Astoria Commission has received a three-month extension of its deadline to decide whether to renew its lease of a 96-acre parcel on the Skipanon Peninsula in Warrenton, Ore. Under the terms of the current agreement, the Port of Astoria leases the land from the Oregon Department of State Lands (DSL) and subleases the property to Oregon LNG. However, because the zoning for the land has been adjusted since the agreement was signed in 2004, DLS has permitted an extension to allow the Port of Astoria to re-appraise the value of the land.
