Politician: Alaskan Intrastate Gas Pipeline Could Enable Re-Start of Kenai LNG Liquefaction Facility
Platts reports that State Rep. Mike Chenault (R), speaker of the Alaska House of Representatives, said yesterday that construction of an Alaskan intrastate natural gas pipeline from the North Slope fields to southern Alaska could enable ConocoPhillips and Marathon Oil to resume LNG exports from their Kenai LNG liquefaction facility. Kenai LNG operator ConocoPhillips has said that it plans to halt exports in the coming months.
