The Ottawa Citizen reports that Malaysian state-owned energy company Petronas and Canadian gas company Progress Energy have completed a feasibility study and are proceeding to the preliminary front-end engineering design phase for an LNG plant at Prince Rupert, British Columbia, despite the Canadian government’s recent rejection of Petronas’s proposed acquisition of Progress Energy.
