Pennsylvania Resident Urges County Commissioners to Adopt Anti-LNG Exports Resolution

Citing environmental and economic concerns, local resident Walton Brennan encouraged the commissioners of Bradford County, Pa., to adopt a resolution to oppose additional U.S. Department of Energy authorizations to export domestic LNG. In an interview, a spokesperson for the Marcellus Shale Coalition disagreed, questioning Brennan’s assertions that hydraulic fracturing is unsafe and that LNG exports would lead to higher domestic gas prices.
