Oregon Says NorthernStar Should Adhere to State and Local Approval Processes

The Oregonian offers further coverage of NorthernStar Natural Gas’ request that FERC impose a schedule for federally delegated state permits, a move that some believe could allow the Bradwood Landing project to bypass certain local permits. Mike Carrier, Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski’s natural resources adviser, said that the NorthernStar should “follow the commitment they offered…to work with state and local governments in the process.” He also said that the state will decide this week how it will respond to NorthernStar’s request.
