Op-Ed: Vancouver Residents Should Have Input in WestPac LNG Process
In an op-ed carried by the Powell River Peak, Sandy McCormick, a former public official and current resident of Texada Island, British Columbia, expressed frustration with comments made at a recent public meeting by WestPac LNG president Mark Butler. According to McCormick, Butler encouraged local residents to voice their concerns with regulatory authorities, not with the company itself, saying the company will go forward with its application even if local residents oppose the project.
