Op-Ed: LNG Imports and Carbon Emissions Control Not Compatible
An op-ed in the Ventura County Star [free registration required] asserts that the state of California is attempting to pursue two opposing policies: diversifying natural gas supplies through the importation of LNG and working to reduce carbon emissions. The author notes that the California Coastal Commission cited greenhouse gas emissions in its rejection of the Cabrillo Port LNG proposal and questions why Gov. Schwarzenegger did not do the same.
