Norsk Hydro Optimistic About Potential Access to U.S. LNG Market
Norway’s Norsk Hydro will attempt to secure capacity at U.S. LNG terminals in the Gulf of Mexico if it wins a stake in Gazprom’s Shtokman natural gas project, the company’s vice president said today. Torstein Indreboe dismissed comments from industry analysts who say that Norsk Hydro’s lack of access to an import terminal has hindered its bid to secure a share. “We have talked to several terminal capacity companies and our conclusion is there is no bottleneck,” he said. “We don’t think ‘not having secured LNG terminal capacity’ is a problem.” Details are in a Dow Jones article carried via LexisNexis.
