The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) says that it “cannot concur” at this time with the U.S. Coast Guard’s determination that BHP Billiton’s proposed Cabrillo Port LNG terminal would not adversely impact protected marine species. NMFS has requested additional information on the terminal developer’s proposed measures to minimize harm and monitor impacts to listed species.
