Nine Companies Offer Bids to Construct Jamaican LNG Terminal

The Jamaica Observer reports today that nine firms responded to the RFP issued by state-owned Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ) to finance and construct a proposed floating LNG terminal. PCJ Group’s technical director said that the firms were “primarily companies involved in LNG shipping” and PCJ expects to choose a firm by October of this year.
