At last week’s meeting with the Marblehead Board of Selectman, representatives from Suez Energy Internationaland its subsidiary, Neptune LNG LLC, discussed Neptune’s deepwater LNG terminal proposed offshore Massachusetts. The representatives noted several key projectdevelopments, including design changes to decrease impact on the environment, FERC’s recent release of a draft Environmental Impact Statement, and the company’s purchase of an LNG vessel. At the meeting, residents raised concerns about the terminal’s potential impact on the environment and public safety. Interested parties have until July 17 to submit comments on the DEIS.
