NATS: LNG Likely Needed to Meet U.S. Gas Storage Needs for Winter Heating Season
NATS released comments yesterday suggesting that in order to reach full natural gas storage capacity by November 1, the beginning of the 2008 winter heating season, the United States will have to inject almost 12 Bcf/d of gas into storage. According to NATS, that target injection rate cannot be sustained unless U.S. gas prices rise, attracting more LNG cargos to the U.S. market. [Subscription required]
