NATS: EIA Prediction for 2007 LNG Imports May Be Too Low

In its LNG Week in Review, NATS opines that the recent EIA estimate of 850 Bcf of LNG imported into the United States in 2007 likely is too low. According to NATS, the U.S. terminals would need to regasify only about 2 Bcf/d for the rest of the year to reach that total, an average daily sendout lower than July’s average of 2.9 Bcf/d. NATS predicts that U.S. LNG imports will reach approximately 900 Bcf for 2007. [Subscription required]
