NATS reports that 2007 saw record LNG imports to the United States, with 738 Bcf of natural gas sent out. The 2007 total surpassed the previous record set in 2004 of 652 Bcf and exceeded the 2006 level by approximately 160 Bcf. NATS also noted in its release that BG held the largest share of imported gas in the U.S. market and predicted that 2008 would demonstrate a similar pattern of high import levels in the spring and summer months and drastically lower levels in the autumn and winter.
