Mexico Sees Rise in Natural Gas Supply

Record domestic natural gas production this month and the Altamira LNG terminal’s inaugural LNG shipment by Royal Dutch Shell last week has helped increase Mexico’s natural gas supply, according to today’s World Gas Intelligence. However, Shell Mexico president Cornelis Van der Bom says that Mexico will “need to be extremely successful” in order to meet rising the country’s consumer demands, which are expected to reach 9.721 Bcf/d in 2011.
