Malibu City Council Votes to Oppose OceanWay LNG Proposal

Earlier this week the Malibu City Council unanimously voted to oppose the OceanWay LNG import terminal proposed by Woodside Natural Gas. The Council’s resolution noted that “it is imperative that the city continue to voice its opposition and keep the state of California and the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission informed of the real threat LNG ports pose to the environment, public safety, tourism and property values in Malibu and the surrounding areas.” Read more in the Malibu Times.
