Maine BEP Schedules Hearings on Downeast LNG Proposal
The Maine Board of Environmental Protection has scheduled a series of public hearings on the proposed Downeast LNG terminal as well as on the surrounding pipeline infrastructure. The hearings are open to the public and will feature testimony from Downeast LNG representatives and legally-recognized intervenors including Save Passamaquoddy Bay, We Take Care of Our Land, Fishermen’s Associations, and local town governments, as well as members of the public. Calais High School will host five consecutive morning sessions starting July 16; Calais and Robbinston School will also have one evening session each.
