Lynn City Council to Hold Hearing on LNG Security Ordinance
The Lynn City Council will hold a public hearing tomorrow to discuss a proposed law that would require KeySpan to meet certain security prerequisites before the city renews its flammable liquids license. Council President Tim Phelan and Ward 6 City Councilor Peter Capano spearheaded the initiative after a security breach occurred at Keyspan’s LNG storage facility in Lynn, Mass., nearly two months ago.
