Save The Bay, a local group opposed to the Weaver’s Cove LNG import project, has drafted an open letter to shareholders of Hess Corporation, the developer of the Weaver’s Cove project, urging them to oppose the LNG project. The letter highlights regulatory challenges faced by the project, political opposition to the project, and questions whether the region’s energy market will demand the natural gas imported via the Weaver’s Cove LNG terminal. A version of the letter also will appear in tomorrow’s Wall Street Journal.
