Kitimat LNG and the Haisla First Nation have entered into an agreement that would allow the Haisla to purchase equity in, and to participate in investment and construction opportunities associated with the company’s proposed 610 MMcf/day LNG facility in British Columbia. Kitimat LNG and the Canadian government have approved a land lease agreement under which the Haisla will receive tax and lease payments.
