Today’s Platts Gas Daily features a story on FERC Chairman Joseph Kelliher’s attempts to reinforce gas infrastructure and stabilize prices by calling for long-term supply contracts. The publication also reports that Kelliher is not prepared to implement uniform gas quality standards. He says that a sweeping national policy on gas composition issues is not necessary and that the agency is addressing matters sufficiently on a case-by-case basis. [Subscription required]
