Jamaican Officials to Delay LNG Announcement

Officials with the state-owned Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica confirmed yesterday that their decision on a company to install a floating regasification terminal off Jamaica’s southern coast will be delayed due to Hurricane Dean. Although the officials said that the proposed site was not damaged by the storm, the government team is awaiting input from some members. The decision, originally scheduled for August, may now be delayed until January. Further, Platts LNG Daily reports that supply issues continue to delay the decision. [Subscription required]
