The Industrial Energy Consumers of America (IECA) submitted a letter to Alaska Senators Lisa Murkowski (R) and Mark Begich (D) expressing support of their efforts to export LNG from Alaska to Japan, noting that IECA’s concerns with LNG exports from the lower-48 states, such as the impact of LNG exports on manufacturers and other gas consumers, are not applicable to LNG exports from Alaska.
