Grand Bahama Port Authority Still Supports Suez’ Proposed LNG Terminal
The Grand Bahama Port Authority continues to support Suez’ proposed LNG terminal as Suez waits for the Bahamian government to decide on the project. The news follows Bahamian Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources Leslie Miller’s announcement that his administration is in the midst of drafting regulations that would govern the LNG industry in the Bahamas. Suez CEO William Utt in February had expressed frustration at the Bahamian government’s delay in deciding on the project. As of now, AES’ Ocean Express proposal is the farthest along in the approval process, but no company has received final approval for a terminal in The Bahamas. Read more in The Bahama Journal.
