Rep. Mark Burkhalter, a member of Georgia’s natural gas study committee, said on Friday that he was adding language to HB 1325 that would mandate the state’s Public Service Commission to investigate and ensure that any reduction in gas prices generated by a new pipeline from the LNG facility at Elba Island would be negated by the surcharge AGL may levy on its customers in order to build the pipeline.
