Freeport LNG Expansion, L.P. announced today that it had executed 20-year liquefaction tolling agreements with Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. and Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. covering 100% of the liquefaction capacity (4.4 million tons per year) of the first train of Freeport LNG’s proposed liquefaction and LNG loading facility near Freeport, Texas. Freeport LNG states that it expects to make a final investment decision on the project in the second half of 2013, and anticipates receiving all regulatory approvals by mid-2013, with construction to begin in the third quarter of 2013.
