Former President Clinton Notes LNG Issue During Campaign Stop in Oregon
During a campaign stop in Astoria, Ore., former President Bill Clinton said that his wife and current Presidential candidate, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), voted against the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and noted that the other candidates, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), voted for it. Former President Clinton went on to say that the Act stripped Oregon residents “of the right to approve the siting of … LNG facilities and that was wrong.” The Daily Astorian offers additional details.
